the spax dampers are -40mm dave but they originally came off a nova and i managed to snap the last turn on the front springs with a combination of potholes, spirited driving and different poundage from a nova? The back ones were a bit rusty when i got them but it seems that the rear springs have just fatigued over time with the weight of the car(i have 4 people in it quite a bit!!).Thats why the bumpstops have become fooked i believe.when the car had the spax fitted they never hit the stops till i managed to shag the springs.
Will the standard gm ones be a suitable fit as i now have new springs and it isnt hitting the stops anymore but id like new ones for piece of mind!??
