Sold it monday and the guy rang me last night saying the car was running well but when they got home it overheated and apparently fan wouldn't kick in and so went to garage and needs new radiator and something else. he mentioned something about the antifreeze. It going to cost 200 quid to fix so hhe asked if i would pay half. He was really nice to me like just said see what you can do and said his son loves it and so happy with the corsa.

I told him that when i had it it always overheated when stood still for a while quite common for corsas and that my fan would always kick in. But it was a 2 hour drive on motorway from his house to mine and iv never done more than 40 mins on motorway with it. Could this have fucked it? it only 1.2 8v.

I aint going to be able to help pay anyway as i got to pay for new cambelt for the clio which is 500 quid! Shall i not bother ringing back.

it all depends on the advert if you knew the car had problems and how bad the buyer wanted to go into it really.

and only sold as seen if you get a signature off both parties ie yourself and the buyer saying its sold as seen

Its never had problems when i had it. So its new to me. And when he came too see it i drove it round then offered him if he'd like to try it but he said no its fine i can tell its well looked after as engine was quiet and everything worked.

I think they would have ragged it down motorway for 2 hours which would not help as its a very slow car and thats what caused the problem.

Sold as seen, unless you knew it was fooked I wouldn't pay a penny.
40 mins on the motorway wouldn't be a problem, my old man regularly takes his 1.0 12v all over the country and its never missed a beat.

Spot on imo. Unless you knew about anything that could develop into a problem in the near future, you have no obligation to assist in this case.
