J reg astra 1.4i got it for £250.
i got payed £700 quid for the car and payed £70 to get the car back 
Must depend on the value of the car to begin with tho.

paid £800 for a mk3 astra with 6 months t&t week before either were due someone hit it at that point hadnt even serviced it or anything
got paid £1200 and they offered to give me back the car for free lol obviously i snapped this up
although a day or two later i got a call from the bodyshop it was taken to who made the assessment on it saying it was going to be scrapped.
i got the insurance company to get a wrecked to drop my car back to me free of charge.......
