someone near me has been out his house for 2 months now staying in a hotel. his family is looking at staying their for at least another 4 months

Have you taken any precautions? If your on flood warning it would be a good idea to move valubles upstairs, get some sand bags etc
Sounds silly i know but better to be safe than sorry...
