Quinn direct again: customers car written off, 6 months on and they are still arguing over wether they will pay out, car is in storage at £12 a day (over £2k of storage charges )
Direct line: car damaged in an accident, hire car within 6 hours, inspector viewed within 24 hours, write off within 48 hours and cheque paid out 1 day later.
make your own mind up about who the better insurer is
Pretty odd, that. My mate slammed his Fiesta into the side of a chick in a Corsa C on a roundabout. His fault. Both pretty newish cars and a couple of grand damage. Both cars returned, fixed, in under 2 weeks.

Tesco paid me out quickly, but they wanted a lot of stuff from me before paying out, i did have problems, but once the assessor came around, i had a cheque within 5 days.
He asked me how much i wanted for the car as he had to ring around a few places, see how much they would pay for such a car.........god knows!
I wish i had put a bit more onto what i wanted back, as he had no arguments with what my payout was.
Dont say you want between 2400 and 2600 for example, as i got the lower!

They have 90 days to send you a cheque from you agreeing a value. Im considering taking the people that sorted mine to court as it take them about 100 days to send it me, it was only after Lisa threatened them with Legal stuff they sent it, it landed next day when there was a postal strike on
