I paid my insurance for the corsa in one go and runs out november. I want to cancel it and wondered whether i'll get money back. will i be charged?

Depends on your insurance companies terms.
If you haven't claimed, you should in theory get bit of a refund

they will want "administrative fees" for doing it basically its their way of getting more money off you, imo sit and wait you will get a years extra claims then...

wanted to cancel my moped insurance year or so ago, (half way through the policy) and they wanted to charge me for cancelling early!!! even though i paid it all upfront, no claims etc......

My girlfriend cancelled her monthly insurance early, and got about £25 back. Was with Churchill.

they are arseholes, its their administrative fees, they say people have to do paperwork etc, but in reality at the touch of a buttom they dont cover you anymore, insurance is such a joke

i read your thread, looked a nice car shame u sold it, seewht they say but tbh i would carry on with it and earn the no claims

paying monthly is different, you can literally stop paying, and stop being insured.
but its a bummer when you pay it all upfront then dont see the money if you cancel early..
FasT09 - ring up, ask them bout cancelling, whats the worst that can happen????

You cant just stop paying if its monthly it doesnt work like that. i tried that and they wanted 30 ddays notice (in effect 1 more payment (£130)) i told them they can raffle for their payment and cancelled my direct debit. I now have bad credit rating.
FAST - just see it out and get your year mate

thing is i got different insurance with another company with my new car and i paid in full for a year so wouldnt matter if i waited till november. Just want to cancel this one but dont want to pay 45 quid or what ever admin charge

I cancelled my moped insurance 8 months into the policy. Paid £400 at the beginning and got £150 back after admin fees...

oh if thats the case fone up and cancel. if you have paid in full you will get a few months back minus the charge.
