I also have the TV and 4 lights on, plus my stereo and 2 TVs upstairs on standby. Oh what a disaster.

TBH, I think it's terrible that people currently have no water or electricity, or houses, and their cars are fucked, but as Ed says, it could be worse.

I also don't see what they expect the government to do? They're throwing money at places to supply people with food, water and shelter, and to sort the mess for the people who didn't buy house insurance (why?), not really sure there's much more they can do

I suppose they could stop building on flood plains, but that's not gonna happen, is it?
