Got pulled by the federation the other day, they asked me if my alloy wheels were declared on my insurance, i said No!. They also said my back windows were too dark but i know thats bulls**it . I thought that if my car came standard from the factory with alloy wheels then it doesnt matter wot wheels are on it, and you wouldnt need to inform the insurance.

Are they standard alloys from the manufacturer? If they are then iirc you don't have to declare them

declaring alloys hardly changes your premium so might aswell. Back window to dark? Thats shite you can have them as dark as you want.

You need to declare yours as having a factory fit body kit & after market alloy wheels. Mines irmy kitted which you can get straight from factory so mine is same. With those declared & suspension it went up £100 a year which I didnt think was bad. Got to declare the inlet now though, bet that will make a difference!!!

Some insurance companies require you to declare ANYTHING that was fitted as an optional extra. So anything that was put on the car, which isn't in the standard spec list, has to be declared. Churchill iirc are one such insurance company.

If in doubt, declare it
