that is the width of the tyre not the height of the sidewall, if your wheels are a friendly offset then no they wont rub.

Is the car lowered? Whats the offset of the wheels and what is the aspect ratio of the tyre. (2nd number in tyre code)

195 / 50 / 15

(195mm width / 50% of 195mm is the height of the tyre sidewall / 15" rims)

My 98 Corsa is lowered 40mm and I have 195 / 50 / 15 tyres and no problems at all. Although the wheels are the correct offset.

Any markings on the wheels that might say et49 etc? et49 is the correct offset! you can get away with 45 i think as i have 16's on et45 but not lowered
