As most you know my bms up for sale, and im really debating gettin a newer car, and makin it in the 1.6 or under region.

As iv started to think, at the end of each money i just have no money to show from my hard earnt monthly wage and i only have car insurance and house keep to pay as i stil live at home.

I just really fancy cheap motoring it a newer car and having cheap insurance, and having more money to do other things, another thing that really gets me is the fact im 22 and at this rate im never gonna be able to afford deposit for a house of even afford to rent and live to way i waste money

Why get a car which drains money, when you could get a decent "smaller" car with cheaper running costs?

The bm doesnt drain money, could just have cheaper car insurance, cheaper tax, cheaper petrol bills.

i wont be able to get my own place for years or even rent but i feel at 22 i need to start thinkin about it really.

its not so much i want to get my own place but i would like to start accumilating some money, rather then getting to payday with no money what so ever in my bank account.

the 1.6 corsa ran on peanuts petrol wise but it was stil in high tax bracket and not much cheaper on insurance then the bm

I've kind of done the same mate.. I went newer and smaller to try and save a bit of cash.. My circumstances have changed now though so I can afford something silly car wise and I'm looking to rent a flat in the next few months..

All depends what you want..

you have seen my car, you know what the bodywork is like.

but apart from that it is genuine, and not broken or abused in anyway whatsoever,

under everypanel is waxoil and it is solid.
fsh every mot etc etc
get a oil change every 1k to 2k depending on how its used,.

if you want it, contact me. i have every recipt for work and all the boxe's for the parts fitted.

plus, its fast enuff to keep you happy. as a slow car will jsut frustrate you

I bought my flat when I was your age - 22, I was working in an office 20 miles away at the time earning an ok wage, although still under the national average - Erm Impreza had to go & 1.2 clio got brought in - then promptly back out ( it was shit!!) then ive had a couple other cheap cars (Alfa 1.8, Golf 1.8 GTi) to get me by - priorities changed so to speak.

Then this year (I am now almost 25) ive got a new job paying really good money, & where I wont need to own a car around either. So I can buy my next car on the basis I wont be commuting in it. So an Evo or Exige wont be out the question.

Situations change, but id deffo get a house as soon as possible as thats something you'll always need that will only get harder the longer you leave it, I wish id bought my 1st house at 18/19, to say there doubling in value in a 5 yrs time period is no understatement, mines doubled value in 2 years but I got lucky with it. In 5 yrs what will your BMW be worth

I do a 70 mile round trip in my XE everyday John, costs me £40 a week in fuel which is the same as what I was putting in the Nova SRi when I was using that.

I thought the BM would be good on motorways? Unless the job is 30 miles through town
