I'd say 30 was easily achievable.
I get at least 30mpg in my Cupra and thats a Turbo. Thats with some heavy-ish accelerator action too.

Depends how you drive it, but i used to get quite high mpg out of mine.

i drove from the sticks where i live, to the city centre today, 1 hour drive and got about 34 mpg , mostly sensible driving with a few blasts. PLus hit loads of traffic in the city.
TBH i did'nt really notice it using much more fuel than my corsa sport

the polo gti is a better car, in that its better built, looks nicer imo, and will be more reliable.
the clio has performance and handling on its side

No contest IMO.The Polo might be better built and more reliable but that's all it's got going for it.

I'll never forget test driving one of these and had it up on 3 wheels going round a roundabout Still felt stuck to the road! Shame about the driving position
