Im doing my second 5k run on Sunday, i completed my first in 42 mins (not fantastic, but good for me) and aiming for 38 minutes this Sunday

There is a 10k in October, has anyone done a 10k run before?

5k im fine with, so pretty sure ill be ok with 10k but then it is double what ive done before and im not uber fit (but getting there!)

also any hints for training etc

I think I could cope with 5k, 10k I reckon I could do but I'd have to take it easy, I'd be bloody knackered by the end of it!

I could manage 5k at the moment but I'd be fucked as havent done exercise for a while now. 10k I would of done in my sleep when I was a bit younger...now I'd probably die!

ive done a few half marathons before (robin hood one) which was awesome fun.
Id say do the 10k one, treat it as a learning excersize that way you know what to expect if you do another one!
