Going into the bodyshop soon to get a quote to get this done, and was wondering, when the boot handle and wiper are smoothed off how do you open the boot?

Solenoid connected up to the old wiper switch?

Yes, or buy another switch and locate it somewhere else if you like.

you can buy solenoid mechanisms off ebay. Give it to the garage and theyl do it for you.
