what happens to number plates that that are on cars that are writtern off? can you buy them? if so saw a clio today on the back of a lorry it was 07 plate and the last three digits were VXR possible purcahse for any 07 vxr owners

they all go back to the dvla mate
and they have no intention as of yet to start re issueing them again as I have tried to get BUR 635S which was issued to a car that has now been scrapped
