soad are fucking awesome. yes they make some wierd music but they have strong political messages and agendas as well as making some amazing profound music. i submit arials as a great example and a lot of the newer stuff like byob and soldier side. quality songs although if you like bouncing around to dance music with girls singing mindless lyrics with no meaning whatsoever then system of a down won't be your thing.
