is it normal for gsi bumpers to bow out a little at the sides more than the wings?

im fairly sure the plastic clips are in ok? if not and i cant get them in i think ill just cut them off...

the bumpers are never a perfect shape, mine does not fit perfectly and I've spent hours tinkering with it!. and then noticed that the bumper was not completely symmetrical
