Was in the process of trying rh cups on my car to see what thier like. Got the wheels off my mates polo all ready to go on mine.

Went to undo the first lock nut and snapped the locking nut key. Genuine vauxhall one too, it must have been so soft, just shredded to bit.

I have the code to get a new one that fits but im soo stressed. What are they like at replacing these.

takes a few days unless ur lucky and they have the same coad key in, about 200 diffrent types iirc, vauxhall look nuts suck arse tbh, i did exactly the same wen i got the derv, went 2 paint calipers and snap there gose the key

that happened to me and i just bought a new set.... it just so happened that the set i bought had the exact same key for my originals! annoying!

Snapping keys etc sounds like a pretty good safety feature to me imo.

It's a fucking joke TBH, I dont do the lock nuts up to tight anyway and yet they still break! Ah well, not the end of the world.

You reckon they will replace it? The quality of the metal looks shite

I think its a sign! I hate locking wheel nuts, kept losing the key on my old car lol. Thats just me being disorganised though really.

I never use them. I'd rather my wheels got nicked than I had to fuck around drilling a bolt out.
