Why is MySpace so pants? Half the time when I try to search for something it says "an unexpected error has occured, this has been forwarded to the MySpace Technical Group" or whatever...

Should have stayed on Bebo methinks.

If I had the patience I would probably make my myspace thingy look nice, but errors etc happen, then I lose interest

Yeah the search is woeful. It gave me people that lived in the US when I put 20miles from Milton Keynes.
