My dad has bought a boat and is mooring it at a marina in Aberystwyth. I'm probably gonna go down there a few times this year so just wondering what there is to do. I was there a few weeks ago and found a bar on the pier that i think was open 24hrs a day. What other bars/restaurants should i look out for? What is there to do in the day time?
Cheers

TBH there's lots of little villages around there.

Not far from snowdonia national park either.

Lots of roads to go for a nice drive along, lakes to go fishing/canooing on etc.

Me Drunkenfool and Superlite Ltd are all based in Aber due to Uni etc!!

Quite a few bars etc there, Pier is abit crap but is the closest thing to a normal night blub there, and yes part of it is open 24 hours

What sort of music are you into? beacuse with it being a student town ALL tastes are catered too during term time.

If you like your vodka then get to Downies where you can ask for an admiral, £3.50 and its a quad vodka and redbull in a pint glass

The roads round here are great for an "enthuiastic" drive Theres soimething like 50+ pubs here, its supposed to be the most pubs per people in the whole of the UK Some really nice restaurants too.
if you care coming down with your parents, then you could always take them on the stream train up to Devil's Bridge, I was gonna go today with my mum and gran who are up here till tomorrow, but its pissing it down. Gonna take them to the swimming pool this afternoon now instead.
If you want to go for a nice meal, then the spanish tapas bar called "La Taberna" just off pier street (walk away from pier with it directly behind you, and half way up that road theres a little street on the right, and its there). Bit expensive but great food.
If you come up before September then feel free to get in touch with me, me and ed (Superlite) are sharing a house so will probably come out for a few drinks, but im moving to Spain in september so wont be around much next year.

But you will probably find the local birds in the pier pressure night club. The pier has a snooker club, arcade, video rental, restuarant and bars lol

we will mostly be out on the waves in the day times but i will need other stuff to do if the weather is too bad to take the boat out. The roads are pretty good as you said but after the 3.5 hour drive down i doubt i'll be up for driving. gonna be goin in about 4 weeks with a couple of my mates so i'll give you a shout.
