Both cars hold their values well but I would go for the Trophy for exclusivity and the fact it was rated by Evo as one of the top 5 Drivers cars you can buy

the trophy 182 is a pretty mental car.loads better than the origional 172 and i much prefer it over the new 198 or wotever it is (didnt like it at all).i think the seat would prob be a better daily driver for comfort, altho the clio isnt the harshest ride.

really depends what you want from the car. the leon would IMO be a more comfy car and better for everyday driving, the clio is a bit more kill it everywhere kind of thing!

i have a 172cup and its great but not the most comfy of cars, basic inside etc! i also have a golf 1.8t and its a much mor ecomfy car 200bhp but not that much fun to be honest.....

the trophy is alot of money but worth it if your going to do lots of track days or are genuinly into driving fast everywhere!

rob, you dont need to spend loads of a clio, picked mine up for very good money..... just need to look around, granted the trophy holds a fair bit more value but you do get alot of extra kit for your money

Comfy, quick and reliable

the leon is so much more of a car than the clio, the clio whilst being fun to drive has a dire interior and generally cheap residuals. The leon is more grown up etc etc.

The only reason i sold mine for the 106 was because it was costing me too much to run.

i do love the clio trophys but for the money your getting so much more car in the leon

The Leon is solid, looks good and fast in a straight line. The Clio will be more fun, handle better and be more of a drivers car. It doesn't have the build quality of the Leon though.

As said the Clio handles very good but that is not fair comparing a small 3 door vs basically a 5 door barge

However a decent set of coilovers, tyres, strut and roll bar upgrade and the LCR will handle very well for it's size.

Have a gander on piston heads or on seatcupra.net. I wanted a grey badly and waited for over 2 months for one to turn up with low mileage but never got one int the end . Settled for a year old silver with only 2500 on the clock.
