Hey guys, let is currently being rebuilt before being installed. Wanting to upgrade the brakes obviously.
would hi spec 4 pots do the job to a decent standard for a LET with about 300bhp? i am really tempted by these 6 pots but they are going to cost me a fortune.
http://www.rimstyle.com/pages/products/product_detail.html?category=brake_conversion_kit;type=monster_6;model=19886;id=MON6-190

If 4 pots will do the job well enough i'll get them.

Cheers for any help/advice

4 pot will be fine.

Its the disc size that's more important.

300mm 4 pot with decent pads and discs will be great They (HiSpec billet with Mintex 1155) worked well on my track corsa

Even some 2 pot AP's from a VX220 would be fine so long as you got a decent sized set of disks.

6pots os overkill IMO.

My cally stops really well on 284mm brakes, bearing in mind mines about 400kgs heavier than a corsa!
I used 288mm veccy v6 brakes on the LET corsa, they worked well but added alot of weight to the unsprung mass and were a tad of a handfull under heavy braking,

reyland do a good 4pot setup for a decent amount of cash.

see ive never found that, iv found them to be bang on under heavy breaking. i also have none of that spongey peddle everyone goes on about and thats on std brake lines, no braided things. for my car they stop it perfectly well in my opinion. i expect to get slated for saying that and not suggesting people spend 50 million quid on gold plated calipers etc

It stopped perfectly well yeah The stopping power was immense, could slam them on at like 120mph and stop on a penny! I loved the pedal feel, it gives you so much more control as the driver, so much more refined at lower speeds and much harder to lock up at high speed!

I did find mind snaked left to right under exptremely hard braking tho.

God i miss that car lol
