just a quick one. a mate of mine at work has a 53 plate astra sri (2.2 16v) which hesitates under load. obvious stuff done plugs etc. did a compression test and no.4 is down 1 bar @ 11. all others are 12 on the nose. did the old teaspoon of oil down the bore jobbie and compressions up to 13.5bar. definately piston rings on no.4 cylinder yes?

though ide best check before he goes mental!
