yeh i was thinking fibreglass as it's still light and a lot cheaper. just saw a nova in arden blue with a carbon bonnet the other month on the motorway and my god it look sooooo sexy - never seen one on a nova before.
Companies for fibreglass bonnets please? Custom makers etc....

They both weigh the same really. There is little difference for weight reduction. The main reason it's used over fibreglass is that it is a lot stronger and is more predictable so structures can be manufactured better as you can design where you want strength to be added.
The main reason why people want it though is because 'it looks cool'.
