Hey guys, new here as of now and just thought i'd post my project.

I've got a 1993 1.4 16V Si Corsa. 5 door. I know most people will disagree with the 5-door but personally, i prefer it, not that i have anything again 3 doors.

When i bought the car, it was 100% standard with two damaged doors, a car had run into the side of it but i needed a car.

At the minute, im just playing with it. Buying small things while putting money away to buy the bigger things (alloys, shocks, springs etc...)

Upto yet i've fitted a K&N induction kit, twin 3" Rage DTM backbox, custom tail pipe that i made myself (More on that in a minute), M3 mirrors, angel eye headlights and an electronic push button start.

The tail pipe is 3 inch standard where as the backbox was for a 4" tailpipe. Just after the manifold curls round the bottom of the car, i enlarged the tailpipe to 4 inches for 6 inches and then back to 3 inches and then back to 4 inches to connect with the backbox.

Its going to be a long project as im far from "well off" but it'll get there eventually.

Damage to the doors (Soon to be repaired)

Twin 3" Rage DTM backbox

Car as it is now

And finally, a video of my push button start in action.

Push Button Start

**EDIT**

Forgot to mention, i've de-badged and de-trimmed the boot lid and all of the doors.

Plans are for some alloys, colour coded bumpers (not sure whether to kit it up or not) and lower it 40mm.

Isn't it easier to just start the car off of the key though?

exactly what i was thinking. faffing about for 30 seconds turning the key making sure it's in properly

would much rather just turn the key and it's started

just woke up lol...

should of said -

i had a push button on my old nova, only reason is, it didn't use any keys..

was broken into, and they broke the ignition barrel, and it was cheaper to buy a switch than a new barrell

Push button start was done for the novelty, nothing else.

Looking to do the job "on the cheap" as some people would put it so i'm doing it as i can afford it.

Got a Ultimate Velocity Combat Kit II front bumper coming on Thursday (£40 so i wasnt saying no).

I'll get myself some alloys when some pop up cheap.

Suprised noone has mentioned the fact that it is a 5-door!

Xtreme, you at MFN tomorrow?

Started work on it today. All three decent arches have been removed and a new one bought, due to be colour-coded tomorrow hopefully.

New bumper is being collected on Thursday, painted friday and fitted Saturday.

Anybody know where i can get some side skirts for a 5-door?

Looking to get a pair of new doors in a few weeks.

Didnt realise i had to remove the shite guards to get to the front arches.

Shite guard removed

Rear arch removed

Found a nice dent behind my arch, need to knock this out tomorrow

Little update

Okie dokie, done abit of work on the Corsa so thought i'd post although everyone hates them!

This is how you lot last saw it.

Since then i've removed and painted my arches

Also got a new bumper for it that is painted and being fitted tomorrow!

The bumper is about 1 and a half inches from the floor, what are the chances of getting past the speed humps/bridge at MFN?

A little progress at last!

Off to Albert Loom's for new doors on sunday!

Things to be sorted first are some new doors to replace the damaged two and some alloys. I wanted to lower it but the kit is so big that it isnt looking likely!

Low enough?

Yes it needs alloys and yes it needs the rest of the kit BUT its a project! Very tight budgeted project.

Things get done when things come up!

it might be wise to take that off until you get bigger wheels, its to low tbh mate and you are asking for it to get ripped under the car that low

I was thinking that. Scraped it a few times but nothing serious yet. As long as i creep over speed humps i seem ok.

Currently trying to come up with funds for some alloys to raise it up abit!
