I haven't read most of this thread but Fog lights are for when it's foggy, they aren't cool, they make you look like a prick if it's not foggy. The worst ones are when they have just the sidelights and fogs on

French cars seem to be one of the worst culprits, probably cos most of them come with foglights i suppose haha

From riding a bike, they blind me and cause me to not be able to see until I'm actually side by side with the car, so it's really quite dangerous!

Havent read other input but

IMO you are a complete cock!

Foglights are pointless except in the fog you really cant see that much more. They are just an irritant to other road users especially in the wet. If I had been in front of you I would have had my rear foglight on if its foggy back there it needs to be on doesnt it!

And as for putting main beam on well sums up what i said to start I wouldnt of switched my foglight off I would have stamped on the brakes said i was dazzled by your lights and would have claimed on your insurance for my whiplash!

Imagine if I drove everywhere with these bad boys on!

I'll use them if I'm on a dark backroad but will knock them off, as well as my high beam if other traffic appears.

I see nothing wrong in using them in this way. Driving around other traffic however is irresponsible.
