how much would it cost to recondition an engine?
and would you need to tell the dvla if the engine is changed even tho its the same sized engine? could they find out in anyway if they wer not told?

exchange engine from VXpro is about £1000 lol

My rebuild cost me about £1200 and that was a full rebuild with just about everything being replaced and machined. Vauxhall do exhange units at a fair price, worth looking into. While you are making the decision its also worth considering a bigger engine.
