Decided after getting some inspiration at PVS last weekend to pull my finger out and put in my late spec low mileage C20XE to replace my tired and tappy XE thats been in my car the last 12 months.

Decided to get cracking with getting the motor out today..

After its final kicking this morning

Loom all off

Nearly ready..

And shes out

Plan is to swap my lightened flywheel and clutch over to the new engine tomorrow and give the engine a good clean, throughout the week paint my engine mounts, clean the bay where its had a year of oil spraying all over it.

New engine will be going in next saturday, be driving it by Sunday all minted up

More pics tomorrow

As you said i've lost count of the many different suspension setups i've had my facination for going low started with my GTE when I was 18 so a while ago now, originally bought my -80mm for this

Currently running FKs on it but hoping to change to Gaz next year.

VegasPhil - not actually sure on the mileage of the engine but its a mint runner

After spending all day yesterday helping my brother rebuild his nova after a repaint me and my mate got cracking on my corsa

Got the engine in, started first time so not bad going

Spent a while running the ignition / starter loom behind the engine so its all hidden, dont plan on having back on the road now until next weekend so going to spend the week making it all tidy.

Gutted as I need to order an induction hose the calibra one I have has a big spazzy elbow thing on it

Only took a couple of pics so heres one as if first went in and we had just lifted the box on

Decided as it wasn't raining to finish off putting my finishing touches to the engine bay and give him a wash for the first time since PVS.

All done and no problems since it went in, done 1000 miles in it.

Quick pic of the side after a wash

Was planning on going to billing in it but as we couldn't camp it looks like the next show will be trax !
