Tell them with stuff like that & by the end of the interview you will be feeding them out of your hand!!

Stuff they may ask:

Why do you want this job?
Give an example of one of your most proud achievements?
Give an example of a situation of working as part of a team?
Give an example of a problem that arised & how you overcame that problem?
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
What do you expect to achieve from this job & what can you give back in return?
Where do you see yourself in 5/10/15 years time.

Some of these questions may crop up so be ready with an answer.

Also it will make you seem keen 1. if you say you have been researching into the company/job....giving examples of how you done this, internet, misc engineering info etc & 2. If you prepare a couple questions to ask at the end....makes you seem really interested in the job & company you've applied for a job from

Whats the point if someone has no interest to further themselves?

All businesses like company men that want to progress. No-ones ever going to give a position to someone, pay them to train, go to college etc just for them to leave once there time served!!

For sure......dont tell them that you want to work offshore & are only using them as a ticket to get qualified though, it will be game over, unless the council get a leccy contract in the drink!!

Happens all the time, folk want to chase the bigger money. They wouldnt give someone the time of day if they told them that in there interview though...thats being a bit too honest
