on a 1.2 corsa c my brakes discs have a lip on the bottom edge, not the outer edge, but ive been told they can still go on, even tho they have done around 40k miles...
i was also told that i can try tap a hammer on the outer edge where there is a huge rust build up...i was wondering how the little rust on the edge can affect braking?

For how much discs cost mate id just change them. Cutting corners on brakes can be fatal.
Is it worth risking it for £30 (discs and pads)

find some one who is local to you and get them to do them, tiz easy to do if you have the right tools
