My mate was up at my house for me to fix a few bits on his SXI. Fitted some 6x9s for him today, yesterday I did the headunit. Its a fancy bastard with bluetooth, handsfree etc. After I installed the headunit, we found I forgot to connect the microphone for the handsfree, so we left it for today.
Fitted the 6x9s, worked fine. Took out the headunit, connected the microphone, put everything back together, headunit wouldnt work. Then began 2 hours of checking wires, re-doing conenctions, testing with a multi-meter, taking the headunit from my car to test, and tons of other shite.
Turns out the fucking headunit face wasnt on right, a simple push on there would of sorted it

I did one worse than that, I wired my sub & amp thru the panelling in the car cos my mate did a bodge job when he put em in for me.
after rewiring I was getting no sound thru the head unit.
I conntacted the seller and he offered to send me a refurb due to it being the backend of the warrenty. Once again it didnt work!
I was getting annoyed at this point so after a few phone calls he sends me another refurb and to my suprise it didnt work!
I managed to convince him to send a new unit. Received it and it didnt work!
turns out I was having speaker wires touching when I was testing causing distortion and feedback.
mind you I never told the supplier that! and my amps never worked since

my face panel is gay, its a cool headunit its an alpine one just well complicated to put it on, you have to line up and imaginary hole while pushing the other side in and tilting upwards
