But hes not talking about his car specifically, hes just asking if it would work in any car down the 1/4 mile.

then the answer is yes, it would make a difference, but not enough to be noticable if they are just lay in the bottom of the airbox, not eonough surface area do dissipate the heat fast enough to give any noticeable change in performance, on the other hand, i know people that put ice cubes in their intercooler water spray tanks but again, doesn't make any difference.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

IMO puttin a bottle of cold water in your airbox would make little or no differnce as the air would pass it too quickly to be cooled down.
Corsabadboy - agreed.
no matter what car you drive if you pay the money to take it up the strip then go for it.

yes what is the point in taking a non performance car on the strip, it wastes the time of people there with performance cars. If the queue was full up with people on 50cc mopeds you wouldnt be best pleased would you

Just because you may have a performance car and the person in front of you doesnt that doesnt mean you are better than them.
if they pay the money to go up the strip then youl just have to wait!

who gives a shit about what others think? you pay the money to satisfy your curiosity. if you get embarrassed or fear about what others think then don't bother going. go boil an egg

its not being better than anyone else, its about courtesy for others, if i had a 1.2 i would not take it up the strip, because of the fact i wouldnt want to cause more of a queue by taking a pointless object up there, in fact this did happen when i had my 1.2 we were at santa pod, my mates took there evo and vts etc up, but i sat and watched.
I dont know what there is to be curious about, its going to be slow, so slow that its insigificant to you or others

its totally pointless. if i go to the strip i want to see decent cars trying/and beating their best times etc not waiting 25seconds for a 1.2 to crawl up the strip

youd have X amount of cars less in the queue, thats the problem, the queues, if they werent bad, then it wouldnt be so much of an issue, like i said i have no problem with people wanting to take a 1.2 up, they have every right to, but i think when queues are bad they should take a back seat

You shouldn't be allowed on the track because you hold up scoobies and evo's, they shouldn't be allowed because they hold up bikes and bikes shouldn't be allowed because then the drag cars would get upset.
Your argument is flawed as per usual.

drag car on a track be realistic whats the point in trying to see how fast a shopping run car does the 1/4 mile in?

actually you are correct there, the drag cars get pissed off with the street cars also at these events.
but i would say there has to be a line drawn with what is considered pointless
