Power nap before you leave. Even though you've probably already gone

Tea/coffee in Thermos mug type thing to drink whilst driving.

Mints.

You're as much of a liability driving tired as you are when you drive drunk.

I just keep a window open, or try and eat a bag of crisps. I try and make a bag of crisps last the whole journey. Quite hard when your driving home 100+ miles from work. Most of my work is at night, its so easy to start drifting off. I've Spent a lot of time in lay-by's!

I have to drive after a full 24 hour day every fri/sat as i work night but am at uni through the day. Its not very nice at all. I tried having the window open, loud music, drive fast still tough to keep awake. I find a can of Relentless does the trick.

The harder you try the more tired you get, at my old company we used to work down south quite alot, we would do anything upto a 20 hour shift then drive back, I once nodded off about 4pm in the afternoon driving back up, pulled up in services for an hours kip, didnt wake up till 10pm was a bit pissed off but at i obviously needed the sleep, didnt kill myself or anyone else so its all good.

I just dont drive if i get that feeling of been tired..not worth it
