Ive got some pioneer door speakers and tweeters that ive been meaning to put in for a while but never got round to it. I have to put them in now cos ive blown the standards. Just wondering the pioneers dont fit (too big slightly) into the hole for the standards. Wot would be best - Cutting the hole out to make it fit, or building wooden circles to screw to the doors and then screw the speakers to them.

halfords (or most audio factors) do convertor plates to fit other speakers of varioius sizes, perhaps give them a try?

Ive got wood left over from my failed boot build and my mates a spark and has all the tools needed.

Well in that case, cut a round peice of wood no bigger than the space available underneath the doorcard pocket.

mark up where the screws need to be from your old speaker, and countersink some screws into it,

cut out of the middle the size required for your speaker, bolt on and go.

That'd be my guess

I'm not being cheap (well i suppose in a way). Ienjoy doing stuff to the car myself and get alot more satisfaction from it. If I have a day off work i wud go looking for something else to do myself - dont no mite sound wierd but i love it

12.99 isnt too bad actually for halfords. I wud have expected halfords to be alot dearer so ill have a look - cheers
