Just finished my first tank of fuel in the corsa and it got 38MPG; over the moon with that really as it compares with the TVR's 15!!

It will pay for itself in no time

i get about 28- 30 out of the vx, but im still going to be getting a shitty runaround with good miles for the everyday car.

Well mines the 1.6 and i got 365 to £40; that would have cost me £120ish to go that far in the TVR!

Haha, tell me about it! Using my TVR day to day at the moment to try and get to the 1000 mile mark for Tuesdays first service! Just over halfway to it and last night I put my fifth tank of fuel in!!!

i didn't, thats the average i would expect.

my 1.2 16v gets 80-100 to a tenner with eratic driving, with mixed driving i would expect 100 miles to a tenner in a 1.4 16v.

before anything, you need to specify the price per litre of petrol, then you can calcualte it

40-50mpg then

Was thinking my old 8v used to get 45ish driving nicely but put your foot down to try and make it move fuel went quicker than the speedo did.
