no...I had the same problem, it was my fault, lady claimed through my insurance and I didn't lose anything because I didnt claim for mine (my car). Insurance just asked me teh details of what happened and told me that i had nothing to do and no need to contact the other party, they would sort it out..all done and no claims still here

doesnt matter who claims if you or him claim of YOUR insurance and the insurance company is left out of pocket you will lose your no claims.

Aslong as no-one claims of your insurance you wont lose anyhting, or you can chose to settle the paymane tupto a year after the insurance has paid out

Claim stands regardless off fault.

when someone hit my girlfriend we claimed of her insurer (adrian flux) then challenged the other party. We won and they re-embursed adrian flux and re-instated my gf's no claims.

this is why its sometimes benficial to pay slightly more insurance and get a decent company behind you.

if you was at fault then you are lucky to have your NCB unless you have protected/guranteed no claims bonus?
