IS it possible for the weights to fall off while driving?

to cut a long story short, i have recently got the wheels balanced on my VTS.

I was getting serious vibrations through the steering wheel when doing about 60 mph.

Once this was done all seemed ok and the vibrations stopped

but today i heard two noises from the wheel arches which sounded like stones

is it possible that the weights have fallen off?

i believe the weights go on the inside of the wheel on a VTS and its to dark to check now

Any help appreciated

Im wondering this too. Ive got some serious wibble wobble going on from one of my wheels, and on closer inspection it looks like there are sticky pads on the wheel where weights may have once been.
