needed car tracked up and cmaber sorting so ring a garage who i had been told could sort it out for me convo as follows;

Me: alright there could you tell me how much would it cost for my corsa B to get tracked up and camber adjusted?

Them: Oh wait there il find somewhere to get a price for you,

Me: 'whistles for 5 mins'

Them: hi there what were you wanting?

Me: just a quote on how much to get my corsa b tracked up and camber adjusted?

Them; ok give me a minute

Me: whistles for 5 minutes again'

Them: Right sir thats £4.50 a wheel for balancing and a corsa B doesnt need tracking doing as it doesnt have camber adjustment

Me: can you repeat that please;

Me: 'puts phone down'

how do thes places operate i mean they dont know what there on about so asif i wuould let them work on my car, know wander the motor indusrty is gouing down the pisser

You can't adjust the camber though unless you have made it that way.

he wants the toe adjusting. They just automatically assumed to camber needed adjusting.

well i said that to a lad i know who works there he said no you need chamber sorting just ring up this garage and they will do it for you so now i am confused

You can adjust the toe, which means if the wheels point in or out at the front. But you can't adjust the camber, which is if the wheel tilts in or out at the top of the wheel.

it depends what suspension you have. Stanard suspension is not camber adjustable only coilovers are i thought. And the rear cannot be changed as it doesnt have indipendent suspension.

I had a simillar problem today,

Me: Hiya mate how much to lower the back of my saxo,

Him: have you got the lowering springs,

Me: Il nip back through the week

Saxos or any french hatch for that matter dont have springs

you asked for the camber to adjusted, he said the camber cant be adjusted (which it cant), i dont really see where the garage went wrong

i said to a friend i neede toe adjusting (he works at the garage) he said no you need chamber doing and said ring garage and we can sort it, i put the phone down cos they kept me waiting to tell me something i didnt want to know and then a contradciting story about my adjusment thatys why

he asked how much it would cost to adjust the tracking AND camber. Any other garage would say, X amount to adjust the tracking, however the camber cannot be adjusted

plus they never told me how much to have the tracking down they gave me a wuote for wheel balancing
