if i fit my 50mm coils onto my corsa, will i also need new shocks.
I have been advised to find this out as if the coils arn't held in enough they cann fall out when jacked up or hitting speed bumps. or is this guy talking boll*cks??

No he's talking sense, it's always best to get dampers matched to the springs, or just use cable ties!

you don't have to have new shocks. basicallythey aren't going to fall out or be dangerous but they will make the shocks wear out quicker than standard springs would.

What springs have you got? what make are they?

TBH drive your car on the standard shocks for a day and you will want to upgrade ASAP

I also heard that lowering more than -40mm on standard shocks compromised ride quality!

corsa ride quality is pretty rubbish standard tbh.

if you want comfort, by a BMW

lowering springs on there own will be an improvement over standard springs, and it won't be that bumpy.

They could fall out, as the springs will max out way before the shocks.
