Need a new hose for the engine... goes from the back of the lower inlet, to the heater matrix, but also branches off to the header tank...

Vauxhall, in there infinite wisdom have decided to 'redesign' the part, so it is now too long and fouls against the alternator...

how the feck am i supposed to get this fixed now?? 1 bastarding hose, and there like ummm well thats all we can get...

easy, get a bit of straight hose and fit that instead. as for the take off for the coolant bottle, just ditch that and the pipes that go to the throttle body, car will run cooler and will cost about 25p.

(did this to a car today)

No, not Dixies, Northwich metals. Isn't dixies the one nextdoor that has about 3 fizzogs and a Cav? Only been in there once.

'How much for this alternator mate'

'Erm, £60'

I laughed and walkeed off.

no need to block them up, just block up the left hand pipe coming out of the coolant tank. its a brass insert and can be crimped
