I need to change the V5 for my car.
Can it be done online? Or do I have to do it all with my V5 and send it off.
What are the chances of me getting it all back and correct for my Tax renewal at the end of June

tax it then declaire it! i still had 3months of tax left on my corsa when i declaired it as a xe, and they never told me to change my tax. i sent a letter with my v5 to the dvla and told them my new engine number and cc

I'll do that then. They don't send you an updated tax disc then?

when i delcared mine they wouldnt issue my new logbook back untill i payed extra for on my tax what was left.

Phil be prepared for a long wait  i sent mine off over 2 weeks ago to change mine to a 2.0 and i still haven't got it back yet

Dont declare it just insure it as a 2.0 and pay the cheap tax.
Your tax is going to go through the roof and ive never heard of anyone being done for not declaring the new engine on the book as long as its insured as a 2.0

As soon as they receive it and see the engine cc(1998) they'll send you a letter asking for the tax increase.
Which is almost double the 1.2/1.4 engine charge...
Once you tax it then you get the logbook back.

Well got mine back today aswel, just got home to see it lying on the floor.
If you send it off now phil you should get it back before the end of june
