I been saving for a few months now and will have around £5k for a new car but I dont know what. Was think 172 Cup?! But I cant decide if I want a bigger car or if I should keep saving for a bit longer and get something worth holding on to for a few years, I fear I may get bored of the cup and cant afford to chop and change.

Any ideas?

if it was me, I'd go for a 3 door focus. maybe not the fastest but the are lurvly cars.

defo go for a clio mate. best car iv ever owned, although dont just look at cups, although there ever so slightly quicker, the breaks on both are extremley powerfull and when im hammering down damp, uneven country roads im glad i got the model with abs cus the breaks have a tendency to lock up very esasly

The clio i was racing in my 106 locked the front brakes up going into a fast roundabout, he nearly stacked.

Not for under £8k for a half decent one though. There was one for sale for £5995 but it had spaceship miles and on a high revving engine that can't be too great? I know it's Jap but still.

I would rather save up the extra pennies and get something i can rely on. Something that i can feel comfortable driving in and won't piss me off.
CTR ticks a lot of the boxes imo.
