I'd just like to say thank you for all the info and opinions you lot have gave me,
I thought I was asking a silly question initially... I think I'm gonna go for a xe powered corsa thats already been done, then when the scoobies gone, spend some money on the xe...
cheers everyone!

Drove one for the first time last night which is the one that shall be coming my way and fook me the difference from a 1.6 to a 2.0 was huge felt so raw and rapid!

Must be mental going from a 1.2 to 2.0!

what makes me also laugh i have heard couple of people say they never chose a 2.0 because it dont rev fast/high enough which is funny lol not what id call a lazy revving engine like my dads 2.5 v6 rover 75 you can go 1/4 mile in every gear, it is a raw engine the xe and with a easy achievable 8k+ rev limit it would be insane, i did recently drive a turbo 1.4 sport and i drove a tb'd 1.6 a year ago and they were both fun, but nah give me the xe i like bigger
