I really am trying to remember the name of a film about 10-15 years old.

Plot is basically...

Loads kids playing baseball and there is a house with a garden over the back where a big beast of a dog lives (with myths that he ust to eat people) everytime they hit a ball over the fence its never seen again. Well one day the boy brings over his dads ball signed by babe ruth and it gets hit over they are determinded to get the ball back. prob about 1993-1997?

Anyone able to name the film? thanks dan
