seem to be noticing a lot of what seems to look like small tar deposits down the side of my car, can always see them when i clean it.
if i try getting these off, it leave a lasting mark on the paintwork.
what is the best thing to get these off? and recommended products?
all i use is autoglym bodywork shampoo and super resin polish, never bothered with any of this clay stuff etc before so i'm a little confused

5/6 quid, just a dab of meths on a bit of kitchen roll, no messier than using official stuff

i use petrol to get rid of tar deposits, the best way ever! wipe it on and leave to soak for a min or two, then rub it off, easy as pie

A clay bar is also a good thing to remove tar with. If you keep on top of doing it every time you give the car a bath it's quite effortless

i would reccomend meguiars Clay bar to everyone, its ace.
used it on my wheels yesterday because i couldnt get the tar spots and marks off the wheels, clay barred them and they took everything off! and these were tar spots left for a few month's.
