Had a lesson for my birthday, 1 hour briefing then an hour up in the air, had a go hovering and controlling the Robinson R22 Helicopter. It would count towards a PPL (H) if i wanted to become a private pilot. Anyone on here done it?

Ive got a few hours experience (around 24 i think atm) but tbh its something id look at doing later in life theres a lot of expense involved..
an old mate of mine did his at 18 in Florida cost him around 4 grand in total which isnt bad at all but then theres the other costs plane hire and theres a set amount you need to fly each year to stay current..
havin said that he flys pumas in the RAF now so thats not really a concern for him!

Wouldnt mind learning to fly a chopper, but wont be something Id look into until Ive got the money and time to do it properly.
