What a bunch of amateurs.

How much had the mileage increased on the odometer?

Sometimes the bigger dealerships are the worst imho.

didnt check the milage but the tank was empty when I got it back, the light had just started flashing. the petrol light wasnt on when it was dropped off and it usually takes 25 miles between coming on and strating to flash.

Best one we had was still the Meriva going in for service under warranty, then coming back and having no end of trouble with EM light and cutting out engine...

Eventually, after six return trips to VX, new TB, ECU etc etc, I looked under the bonnet and saw that whoever fitted the air filter on service had completely removed the AFM, turned it 180 degrees and put it back in totally wrong (there's a f-ing great arrow on it to show which is the correct way!).

So we went back again, parked in the middle of the forecourt, lifted the bonnet and told them what the porblem was. Head mechanic came out looking very sheepish and fixed it there and then. No more problems.
