Someone reversed into the front of the corsa last week, just before I was about to sell it The guy said he will pay for it himself though.
Ive got a quote of £553.24
Repairs: Remove and refit Front bumper
Paintwork: Prepare, prime and topcoat: Front bumper
Labour charge: £153.00
Front bumper: £178.00
Front Grilles: £27.49
Lower Spoiler: £34.70
Temperature Sensor: £7.65
Fr. No. Plate: £10.00
Paint and Materials: £60.00
VAT @ 17.5% : £82.40
Total: £553.24
Does this sound about right?

Yes there all broken.
It wont be written off as they have just replaced the quarter panel and door which would of come to loads more than this.
Its just that the price is more than I thought it would be. The guy hasnt really got a choice but to pay it though has he, as I dont want to go through insurance and neither does he.

Sounds awfull dear to me. £178 for a bumper? This isnt standard is it? I got a second hand bumper for £40 and got it painted for bout £80 which included slight repair work.

Yes but I dont want a second hand bumper.
I dont really care how much it is anyway really aslong as matey pays up.
Those prices are probably list prices from Vauxhall for new parts.

just make sure you dont pay for it and then try and get the money from him. Get him to either pay upfront to you (and then you sort it out for cheaper!!) or get him to pay them upfront.
