on the grapevine, apparently someone near my neck of the woods has done something either stupid/very bold and clever.
1.4 16v lupo (2002) and spent a lot of money on it.
this involves
induction kit, 4-2-1 with straight through racing exhaust (2 inch or sumit)
stripped out apart from buckets (false floor put in)
lowere on adjustables about 70 mil on 14 inch ronal turbo's or some o.z's in white that look like them
but this is the weird bit that i find really strange and am wondering if this could be done to a lupo.
it's running at 184 bhp - with a phase 2 turbo conversion!!!!!!!!!! Isnt a supercharger - is an actual turbo conversion apparently - wouldnt that cost like thousands
i reckon it'd be a pocket rocket - but it's still a fookin lupo.

For starters you wouldent have a 4-2-1 as theres a turbo.
You can get 100bhp version of a Lupo 1.4 16v and you can easy get 84bhp from a turbo BUT yes it would cost about £3000-£4000

Would a 4-2-1 manifold not work with a turbo then? (if the flange was correct) I can't see a reason that it wouldn't but I've never seen one...

well thats just the list of stuff he's whacked on it since having it - so yeh might not be on there.
i just think it's funny. would be fun to drive, handling could be good from such a small car?

You could have a 4-2-1 BUT the turbo would sit very far under the car so wouldent really be used then you can make a small manifolds to make the turbo sit in front of engine UNLESS it is needed to have the turbo moved also can cause lag as the headers would be very long.
I have never been in a fast Lupo but they should handle well on the right set up, any small car with over 150bhp is nippy

There would be no reason to bother really.
