Does this bank just ooze incompetence? I was told last week that the money I was transferring to my new account would take 3 days, the money still hasn't gone through.
Also I changed my bank details at work 2 weeks ago and they've paid the money in to HSBC, an account that no longer exists.
So I've now got 2.5k floating around somewhere

yeh iv had this problem, the bank just let the money float about, i had to none stop keep ringing them asking were the fuck my money was.

I made a bit of a mess up transfering money between my hsbc accounts online and £1000 sort of dissappeared for 2 weeks. wasn't funny at the time.

I've just spoke to HSBC and the account is still active, it hasn't been closed at all and the bank cut up my cards in front of me last week! Theres £2538 in there! I have to phone back on Monday now.
Useless tossers.

my sister has a student account with nat west
they took money out of her account 6 months early
after alot of complaining she got £50 and a big bouquet of flowers sent to the house the next day
was nice of them i think

They sent me a letter saying my signiture looked differant so needed me to call in. They still wouldn't give me any money as I had no card, I said if you hadn't cut my card up that wouldn't be a problem would it! So now they're saying my transfer will be completed end of next week. I'll now be writing a letter of complaint I think.

Still on going! I phoned up when I got in and the guy said it was sanctioned on Friday so I should get it tomorrow. He then appologised for HSBC's poor communication resulting in me chasing them up
