I came to a stop earlier and was sitting in my car with the ignition on waiting for a friend outside his house. I noticed a ticking noise from the engine bay and on closer inspection notice it was coming from behind the o/s front wheel around the suspension. Sounded just like a clock. I tried starting the engine then turning it off and it stopped doing it. Strange? Any ideas?

I think charcoal canister is behind thier driverside wheel arch iirc
